Rockwell Collins has unveiled at Land Forces 2016 exhibition in Adelaide, Australia, a new helmet-mounted display system that works to provide situational awareness functionality for warfighters.
The company’s Integrated Digital Vision System is designed to combine mission data from command center, unmanned aerial systems and other sources with multispectral vision sensors to provide soldiers a view of their environment and data to carry out their missions, Rockwell Collins said Tuesday.
The IDVS is based on an open architecture built to facilitate technology updates and leverages Rockwell Collins’ helmet for the F-35 Lightning II aircraft and other defense and aerospace vision systems.
The company will complete the production of the IDVS at its Sydney, Australia-based precision optics facility.
