Poland’s national roads and highways authority has selected CH2M to create at least five reconstruction design options for a 31-mile section of National Road No. 75 that runs between the cities of Brzesko and Nowy Sacz.
CH2M said Wednesday its Halcrow company will conduct a corridor, technical-economic-environmental study in efforts to secure an environmental decision on the planned reconstruction of National Road No. 75.
The studies will include traffic safety analysis and geographical, natural and social assessments on the proposed designs for an expanded lane capacity, a new road tunnel, updated road nodes and structures, new service roads and environmental protection equipment and facilities, CH2M added.
Artur Mazurek, transportation business development manager at CH2M, said the company’s team in Krakow, Poland, has supported similar transportation projects across the world and will build on previous roadway and tunneling work.
CH2M’s Krakow-based global design production center and global shared services center employ more than 700 engineers and specialists who support the transportation, water, industrial and energy sectors.
