Patriot Group International has secured potential five-year, $26.5 million contract to support intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aerial detection and monitoring operations of the U.S. Northern Command.
The company said Tuesday it will provide manned ISR aircraft platforms to Northcom as well as perform flight operations, maintenance, contractor logistics support and intelligence analysis at various domestic and international locations.
“Since 2009, PGI has provided expeditionary mission support to our government’s counter narco-terrorism missions across the globe,” said PGI Chief Operating Officer Rob Whitfield.
Craig Scherer, director of defense programs at PGI, said the company aims to help the Defense Department thwart drug trafficking activities that serve as a funding mechanism for terrorists and transnational crime.
The company also won a position on a $975 million Air Force contract in February for logistics and national security mission support to U.S. and partner agencies.
Chantilly, Virginia-based PGI offers global security, risk management, special operations, intelligence services, training and exercise support to customers that operate in high-risk environments.
Northcom provides military support for U.S. civil authorities and aims to protect the territory and national interests of the country across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico.
