A General Atomics subsidiary has received a potential one-year, $17.3 million contract modification to provide final operational test and evaluation services for the U.S. Army’s Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft system.
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems will deliver such services to support the deployment of the drone’s software 4.3.4 version, the Defense Department said Friday.
Work will occur at the contractor’s facility in Poway, California, through Aug. 25, 2017.
The Army Contracting Command will obligate the full amount of the modification from the military branch’s “other†procurement funds for fiscal 2017 at the time of award, DoD said.
