Chenega has been awarded a $9 million contract by the Defense Health Agency to help DHA transition service local area network assets to the Medical Community of Interest enclave.
The Alaska native village corporation’s healthcare services business will work to collect data, conduct asset inventory, coordinate with onsite and remote medical treatment facilities under the firm-fixed contract, the Defense Department said Friday.
DHA will use the collected data to create ports, protocol and services document to support the Med-COI network transition effort.
The contract contains a 12-month base period of performance and work will occur in San Antonio, Texas.
DHA will finance the project using its fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds.
