BlackBerry and Zimperium have partnered to integrate the companies’ mobile security platforms in an effort to help government and other enterprise customers protect Android and iOS devices against threats.
Zimperium combined its zIPS mobile threat management technology with BlackBerry’s BES12 mobile device management software and Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform as part of the partnership, the companies said Wednesday.
Shridhar Mittal, CEO of Zimperium, said the integrated offering will work to help organizations secure containerized applications against cyber actors who use sophisticated methods to access a device and enterprise infrastructure.
“Good Dynamics and BES12 integrated with Zimperium zIPS offers comprehensive threat detection, visibility and protection against network, device and application mobile attacks on corporate apps and data,” added Dave Kleidermacher, chief security officer of BlackBerry.
ZIPS is designed to defend mobile devices against exploitation of operating system/kernel or attempts to bypass Secure-Socket-Layer protocol.
Zimperium developed its platform to continuously monitor the behavior of device’s underlying OS in real time as well as automatically recognize anomalies within a central processing unit, memory and other various parameters.
BlackBerry’s Good Dynamics technology works to mobilize multiple collaboration, independent software vendor and customized business apps.
