A.T. Kearney will sponsor cybersecurity research and education programs at American University’s Kogod Cybersecurity Governance Center in an effort to publicize governance in computer network defense initiatives.
Global consulting firm A.T. Kearney said Monday it will work with the KCGC to promote cybersecurity breach preparation, prevention, detection and response practices.
KCGC works to provide collaborative, objective and multidisciplinary cybersecurity research for governance and corporate cyber risk management.
The center aids corporate board members, C-level executives and information technology leaders to address management, leadership and governance challenges.
Howard Steinman, an A.T. Kearney partner, said the collaboration seeks to unite industry and government leaders in cybersecurity risk mitigation strategies.
A.T. Kearney’s cyber risk management experience will support the research within KCGC, according to KCGC co-executive Richard Schroth.
“With their support we will reach our goal of helping corporate leaders understand the standards necessary to steer their companies during an ongoing period of significant change,” he added.
