Oshkosh Corp.’s defense subsidiary has received a $42 million order to provide additional Joint Light Tactical Vehicles as well as installed and packaged kits to the U.S. Army.
The order represents the third that the Army has placed with Oshkosh Defense under a potential $6.75 billion contract awarded in August last year, the company said said Monday.
Oshkosh Defense will perform the task in Oshkosh, Wisconsin through November 2017.
JLTVs will replace 55,000 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles of the Army and Marine Corps to provide off-road mobility support for both service branches.
The Oshkosh-designed JLTV features an EOS R-400S-MK2 remote weapon system equipped with Orbital ATK-built M230 LF 30 mm lightweight automatic chain gun.
