The U.S. Navy has awarded five companies a potential one-year, $28 million contract modification for worldwide ocean engineering support services.
The firm-fixed-price modification exercises the second option on a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and brings the total contract value to $84 million, the Defense Department said Monday.
The awardees include:
- GPA Technologies
- MAR Range Services
- PCCI
- Sound & Sea Technology
- Truston Technologies
The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract covers support for ocean work system and ocean cable system projects, moorings, waterfront facilities, ocean construction equipment and offshore structures at Navy and U.S. Marine Corps facilities through September 2017.
The Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center in California will obligate funds from the service branch’s fiscal 2017 working capital budget upon award of task orders.
The contract modification comes a year after the Navy exercised the first option on the previously awarded ocean engineering services contract.
