Lockheed Martin‘s Systems Made Simple subsidiary has been awarded a 39-month, $33.3 million task order to help the Department of Veterans Affairs update and maintain VA’s Enrollment Health Benefits Determination system.
The subsidiary will provide technical architecture analysis and design and management services to the EHBD program as well as develop enrollment platforms and VistA electronic health records systems for the department, Lockheed said Wednesday.
“EBHD will help veterans and their families obtain high quality benefits in a timely manner, which is part of the Veterans Affairs strategy to increase the ease and convenience of the benefits enrollment process,†noted Horace Blackman, vice president of health and life sciences at Lockheed’s information systems and global solutions segment.
The initiative seeks to make it easier for veterans to access medical records, information about VA’s clinical benefits and expert advice to implement personal health plans.
VA awarded the order through the Transformation Twenty One Total Technology contract vehicle.
Systems Made Simple will be a part of Reston, Virginia-based contractor Leidos Holdings after the latter completes its merger with Lockheed’s information systems and global solutions segment.
