Los Angeles-based cloud communication services provider collab9 has received an authority-to-operate under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program to offer its unified communications-as-a-service platform to public sector organizations.
The Federal Communications Commission sponsored collab9 to comply with the FedRAMP authorization process for its Cisco-hosted UCaaS cloud service designed for voice and collaboration applications, the company said Thursday.
The company’s UCaaS platform is designed to provide federal, state and local government agencies with unified messaging service that combines email and voicemail, video calls, instant messaging, customer support, E911 functionality, integration with Microsoft Office 365, Gmail and Skype for Business applications, and mobility support.
Kevin Schatzle, CEO of collab9, said the FedRAMP ATO designation would help collab9 support agencies in their efforts to expedite cloud adoption and implement security standards to their cloud infrastructure.
More than 40 value-added resellers, federal contractors and telecommunication service providers offer the UCaaS platform through collab9’s contract vehicles.
