A joint venture of CH2M and Parsons will work to assist the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority in the repair of underground infrastructure in Washington, D.C. and neighboring areas under a $1.3 billion program.
The team will provide program management services to develop and implement DC Water’s capital improvement program under the potential five-year contract that includes up to two option years, CH2M said Wednesday.
Under the contract, the CH2M and Parsons joint venture will plan, design and construct linear and vertical infrastructure in the water and wastewater service areas such as piping, pumping and storage structures, hydrants, valves, inflatable dams, diversion structures and manholes.
The team will also work to replace small and large-diameter water mains; rehabilitate water, sanitary and storm pumping stations; repair minor and major sewers and storage facilities; and assess condition of water and wastewater buried infrastructure.
