The U.S. Air Force looks to issue a sole-source contract for repair work on the military branch’s radiation detector equipment.
A notice posted Friday on FedBizOpps stated the Air Force seeks a contractor to inspect and fix three Cryo-Pulse 5 detectors as well as provide one coaxial field effect transistor for detector.
Responses to the solicitation are due Aug. 9.
Canberra, the original equipment manufacturer of the Cryo-Pulse 5 technology, designed the electrically powered cryostat for use in conjunction with HPGe radiation detectors intended for military and space applications.
