The Florida Department of Transportation district two has tasked Parsons to design the FDOT’s freeway traffic management system expansion on a 17-mile stretch on I-95
Parsons will develop the traffic management system’s backbone and identify and design the individual devices needed to cover the area between north of Jacksonville International Airport and the Georgia state line.
The company will provide transportation systems and services, including archived data management, automatic vehicle identification, closed-circuit television cameras and dynamic message signs for the project.
Michael Johnson, Parsons president, said that the the company utilizes its technology to help enhance the safety and capacity of public roads and highways.
