NCI has received a subcontract from Science Applications International Corp. to support cybersecurity operations of the U.S. Cyber Command.
SAIC is one of the six prime contractors on a potential $460 million Cybercom mission services contract awarded in May and will collaborate with NCI in efforts to help protect and manage Defense Department networks, NCI said Thursday.
Cybercom seeks to acquire new technologies as well as joint operational planning, intelligence, research, development, testing and evaluation and business support services under the five-year multiple-award contract.
Brian Clark, NCI president and CEO, said the program offers the company an opportunity “to advance the collaborative goals of USCYBERCOM and our other DoD and intelligence community customers through cyber technologies, techniques, tactics and procedures.”
Root9B will also support Cybercom’s operations under a separate subcontract announced by SAIC in June.
