cybersecurityFidelis Cybersecurity has introduced a database and two freeware tools that work to detect cyber threats and protect network infrastructure from data theft.

The Barncat Threat Intelligence Database contains a collection of more than 100,000 records of malware-derived configuration settings in remote access tools and is designed to help cyber analysts identify and attribute cyber attacks with threat actors, Fidelis said Thursday.

Companies, government agencies, computer emergency response teams and internet service providers should meet certain criteria in order to access the database for free.

The company also launched the ThreatScanner freeware tool that works to look for malware artifacts in endpoint devices and generate a report on such artifacts.

Fidelis’ CCNumberFinder is a Microsoft Windows platform that works to protect payment card data from cyber criminals in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard through identification of credit card account numbers in a file system.

Fidelis will exhibit the ThreatScanner tool at the Black Hat USA 2016 conference on Aug. 3.
