cybersecurityDuffy Consulting Services has launched a platform designed to help Defense Department contractors and subcontractors comply with guidance on how to protect sensitive federal data in nonfederal systems.

DCS’ enterprise management tool works to facilitate the adoption of the Protection of Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Information Systems and Organizations guidance by DoD contractors in compliance with the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement for contracts, the company said Wednesday.

Shawn Duffy, president and CEO of DCS, said the company also aims to help principal contractors monitor their subcontractors’ compliance with the DoD mandate through the enterprise management application.

Contractors and their subcontractors need to conform to the DFARS mandate in order to continue work on defense contracts, Duffy added.

The Pentagon ordered contractors and subcontractors to comply with the CUI guidelines in December.
