Cubic‘s global defense segment has received a potential $13.9 million contract from Oasis Advanced Engineering to supply crewstation subsystems for the U.S. Army‘s Bradley Fighting Vehicle conduct-of-fire trainers.
The contract contains a $4.2 million base value for the production of nine mobile and four institutional crewstation subsystems as well as a $9.7 million option for the delivery of an additional 31 subsystems and spares, Cubic said Tuesday.
Cubic noted systems deployment activities will occur between April 2017 and March 2018.
“The Bradley trainers are part of an ongoing effort by the U.S. Army to improve training and reduce friendly fire causalities by focusing on simulated combat scenarios and mission readiness,” said Dave Buss, Cubic Global Defense president.
COFT is designed to help instructors train Bradley gunners and commanders in direct fire engagements through a simulated virtual environment.
