Unisys has achieved Amazon Web Services’ Government Competency designation in recognition of the former company’s efforts to deliver cloud-based platforms to federal, local and state government agencies through AWS.
Unisys said Monday the designation is part of the AWS Competency Program designed to recognize corporate partners that have showed technical proficiency in the deployment of cloud platforms for public sector clients.
PV Puvvada, president of Unisys’ federal systems business and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2016, said the recognition aims to validate the company’s approach in providing cloud-based services to government clients.
Some of the cloud service offerings that Unisys provides in collaboration with AWS include Unisys Stealth (cloud) for AWS and Unisys Hybrid Architecture Strategy and Blueprint Service.
Unisys Stealth works to help AWS clients protect cloud-based data and applications from cyber threats, while the Unisys Hybrid Architecture is a consulting service designed to help customers migrate to a software-defined enterprise through the development of strategies for cloud governance and other hybrid architectures.
