Textron Systems plans to implement an iBASEt-made software platform in an effort to manage the company’s unmanned systems manufacturing processes at a factory in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
iBASEt said Tuesday its Solumina software will work to help Textron Systems’ automate filing of bills of materials and engineering change orders as well as gain real-time visibility of shop floor production and quality processes.
“We selected iBASEt because of their experience in managing the complex processes involved in manufacturing highly engineered products,” said Todd Kackley, Textron Systems vice president and chief information officer.
The Solumina portfolio includes the Manufacturing Execution System and Supplier Quality Assurance system and is designed for aerospace, defense, medical devices, nuclear, industrial equipment, electronics and ship manufacturers.
