Social & Scientific Systems has named Paul Gorrell, a former IMPAQ International health division vice president and director of quality assurance, to the position of health and policy and data analysis group VP.
Gorrell has 20 years of experience in research and management and has held a number of leadership roles in health services research projects such as project director to various Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services projects, SSS said Friday.
He was also the principal investigator to a National Institutes of Health project that sought to develop a database to assist health economists research state-level health care and health care reform statutes and regulations.
“Dr. Gorrell is a nationally known expert in analytic programming, particularly with respect to health services research and quality control,†said Kevin Beverly, SSS president and CEO.
