Northrop Grumman has awarded more than $240,000 in scholarship funds to 24 high school seniors in Maryland this year through its Engineering Scholars Program, Maryland Department of Commerce’s MDBIZ News reported Wednesday.
Curran McSwigan writes Northrop gives scholarship grants worth $10,000 per year per student who will pursue engineering, computer science, physics or math studies at an accredited college or university.
The scholarship, which is exclusive to Maryland students, requires a score of 27 on ACTs, 1700 on SATs and at least a 3.5 GPA.
The application committee also evaluates students’ work experience, community involvement and extracurricular activities, McSwigan writes.
The full list of scholarship recipients can be found on MDBIZ News’ website.
