A Concurrent Technologies Corp. subsidiary has rolled out a cybersecurity software offering in an effort to help government and commercial organizations address threats from malware and malicious content.
Enterprise Ventures Corp. released the Advanced Guard for Information Security file transfer system that works to remove malicious and rogue content from sensitive files without affecting the file format, CTC said Thursday.
“Over the past 6 months, we have seen more threats being realized in the healthcare and financial services sectors,” noted Dave Davis, EVC managing director of software sales and consulting.
“The functionality of AGIS helps mitigate the threat of malware and other malicious content which can cause significant financial and operational disruptions to an organization,â€Â Davis added.
The platform is designed to facilitate data exchange across domains and networks as well as scan various types of files such as Microsoft Office documents, Portable Document Format, image file types and compressed files.
CTC developed the core software for the offering and noted that several federal departments and agencies currently use the AGIS tool.
