Avaya Government Solutions has signed an agreement with the Defense Health Agency to provide unified communications, contact center and SIP technologies in support of the DHA’s modernization efforts.
The company will deliver services to help manage DHA’s enterprise conference premise technology, adapt SIP trunks at its headquarters and help maintain equipment, Avaya said Monday.
DHA aims to reduce operating expenses by 30 percent, eliminate capital expenditures, speed up UC systems deployment, minimize “end of life” technology and address cyber requirements.
The agency also aims to self-fund investment and facilitate collaborations between employees, sites and programs.
The DHA customer agreement was presented during the International Avaya Users Group and projects annual savings for DHA at $1.5 million starting in 2017.
