Carahsoft Technology Corp. has added the cloud-based accessibility software offerings of User1st to the company’s General Services Administration schedule in an effort to help agencies and businesses gain access to websites.
User1st’s accessibility software is designed to help public sector customers follow domestic and international web accessibility standards under the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, User1st said Tuesday.
The guidelines require federal agencies to make electronic and information technology available to persons with disabilities under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Tiffany Goddard, director of citizen engagement solutions at Carahsoft, said the partnership aims to help resellers and government agencies provide online access to users.
The User1st software features a code-fixer designed to generate web accessibility skins in order to correct web pages without changing the content.
