QTSÂ will host two Virtustream Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program-compliant cloud platforms in QTS data centers in Texas and Virginia as part of a newly formed agreement between the two companies.
QTS said Thursday it will also deploy Virtustream’s Viewtrust system, which works to provide risk identification, mitigation and compliance automation as part of the former’s portfolio.
Virtustream has achieved a provisional authority to operate from FedRAMP’s Joint Authorization Board and it aims to grow its FedRAMP-compliant service offerings through QTS controls and processes, QTS added.
The data center provider noted it has collaborated with the civilian, defense and intelligence community to achieve more than 50 ATOs across multiple information technology systems.
QTS said it also offers support for compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act, DoD RMF/DIACAP, HIPAA/HITECH, PCI, International Traffic Arms Regulations, FIPS 140-2, ISO 27001:2013 and AT 101 SOC Type 2, among others.
The company’s Dulles, Virginia data center is a 7.3-megawatt Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Silver certified facility that features 64,000 square feet of space while its Dallas campus has a 40-acre data center space.
