Nutanix has appointed Sean McLaughlin to oversee the growth efforts of the company’s federal civilian agency business as director for civilian sales.
McLaughlin’s new role entails collaborating with customers and industry partners to utilize the enterprise cloud platform toward a shared services strategy, targeting Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act scores and building up data center environments, Nutanix said Wednesday.
McLaughlin said he looks forward to supporting the company in its mission to assist the government in consolidation, optimization and cloud migration programs.
Prior to joining Nutanix, McLaughlin held an almost two-decade career in sales at various companies including ServiceNow, EMC, Data Domain, Red Hat and Advanced Digital Information Corp.
McLaughlin started his career as a system engineer at Sun Microsystems, where he eventually became a sales representative.
