FireEye has launched a new cybersecurity assessment system for intended use by industrial control systems operators for technical analysis functions and to model network architectures and dataflow.
The company said Monday it designed the Mandiant ICS HealthCheck service to include threat model diagrams, ICS HealthCheck reports and technical and strategic recommendations.
“Cyber security threats to (infrastructure control systems) are becoming more tangible as threat actors expand beyond IP theft, cybercrime and espionage into ransomware, disruptive attacks and wiper malware,†said Dan Scali, FireEye ICS Security Consulting senior manager.
Scali added the system aims to give customers ICS-specific threat intelligence and reducctions in threat detection and response times.
The new service also aims to help information technology security teams work with engineers to create and identify ways to address vulnerabilities.
