LGS Innovations has introduced a technology platform designed to help commercial and government clients protect their computer networks from potential cyber attacks.
The LGS-built CodeGuardian works to safeguard third-party network routers and switches from network vulnerabilities through source code verification and validation and software diversification, the company said Thursday.
“For years the ‘elephant in the room’ for the data networking industry has been that malicious code, unintentional vulnerabilities, and backdoor threats can be hidden deep within the source code at any point along the global supply chain without the manufacturer or end user’s knowledge,” said Kevin Kelly, CEO of LGS Innovations.
LGS has teamed up with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise to integrate CodeGuardian with ALE’s OmniSwitch family of network infrastructure products.
The OmniSwitch portfolio includes access routers and LAN switches, network management applications and bring-your-own-device network services.
