A Kratos Defense & Security Solutions subsidiary has received a potential six-year, $37 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to supply spares for the Kratos-built BQM-167A Air Force Subscale Aerial Target system.
Composite Engineering will also provide repairs and logistics support services for the AFSAT platform during operations at a test and training range in Utah and Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida, the Defense Department said Friday.
The BQM-167A AFSAT platform has a fuel capacity of 115 gallons and is designed to train pilots for weapons-release missions.
Work under the firm-fixed-price contract will occur in California through Feb. 28, 2022, according to DoD.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will obligate $4.2 million from fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance funds at the time of award.
