Joshua Petty, deputy general counsel at Booz Allen Hamilton, has said companies should make technology adoption “simple†for chief legal officers and other personnel within the legal department, Corporate Counsel reported Wednesday.
Stephanie Forshee writes Petty made the statement during a panel discussion at the ALM Media-hosted LegalTech Conference held Wednesday in New York City.
Petty concurred with other panelists that companies should assign in-house lawyers to tasks that are regarded as high priority and real legal work.
He and other members of the panel also discussed how collaboration between the management and CLOs helps legal departments be efficient, according to the report.
“If you’re invited to a meeting, take up your whole seat,â€Â Petty added.
