MarkLogic has obtained the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation certification for its NoSQL database.
The MarkLogic 8 database received the Common Criteria accreditation after it completed evaluation for network vulnerability management and security functionality standards, the company said Thursday.
“As hackers and cyber terrorists become more aggressive, enterprises and governments must take steps to assure that their data is secure and their vendors are keeping pace with the threats,†said Joe Pasqua, executive vice president of product strategy at MarkLogic.
MarkLogic’s database has attribute, label and policy-based access controls, and atomicity, consistency, isolation and durability features for tiered storage and disaster recovery functions.
