Teresa Weipert, executive vice president and leader of Sutherland Government Solutions, sees a growing trend of robotic process automation in the public sector as RPA offers several benefits to government.
Weipert wrote in an opinion piece for Nextgov published Friday that RPA tools could help to simplify and augment an agents’ ability to perform tasks and monitor the progress of tickets.
“RPA will enhance the speed of business processes, improve quality and improve reporting/visibility,†she wrote.
She also described RPA as a “nonintrusive software†that agencies can customize and scale based on performance requirements.
Weipert added that RPA is also used in the private sector for contact center processing, insurance enrollment, claims processing, invoicing and medical coding, among others.
