A U.S.-based subsidiary of SAP will provide Sybase software licensing and maintenance services to the U.S. Navy under a potential three-year, $20.8 million contract.
The Defense Department said Dec. 21Â the contract works to support the operations and deployment of the Navy’s tactical, information and command-and-control systems.
SAP National Security Services — or SAP NS2 – will perform contract work for a base period of one year at a facility in Pennsylvania.
DoD said the deal has a base value of $13.2 million and is a sole-source acquisition as the naval C2 systems were built on Sybase proprietary software.
