QTS Realty Trust has earned authorization to operate its Richmond and Atlanta-Metro data centers under security requirements based on the Federal Information Security Management Act.
Third party assessment organization Veris Group conducted the tests for QTS’ data center and colocation services following the latest version of FISMA, QTS said Thursday.
“In this time of increased cybersecurity threats aimed at our government, we understand the stringent information security requirements that federal agencies must adhere to, and we invest heavily in order to not only meet, but also exceed them,†said Oliver Schmidt, chief audit executive at QTS.
QTS’ 1.3 million-square-foot Richmond campus houses four data center buildings and the 970,000-square-foot Atlanta-Metro data center comprises various fed utilities, power systems and communications network.
