Oshkosh Defense has put the company’s joint light tactical vehicle on exhibit at the 2015 AUSA in Washington.
Oshkosh said Monday the light military vehicle incorporates the Oshkosh Core1080 crew protection and the Oshkosh TAK-4i intelligent independent suspension technologies.
“The Oshkosh JLTV will revolutionize how our soldiers and marines get to the fight,†said U.S. Army Maj. Gen. (ret.) John Urias, an executive vice president at Oshkosh Corp. and president of the company’s defense segment.
“It has been extensively tested and is proven to provide the ballistic protection of a light tank, the underbody protection of [a mine resistant ambush protected-class] vehicle, the network capability of a mobile command center, and the off-road mobility of a Baja racer,†added Urias.
