Intel Launches New Security Strategy, Products; Chris Young Comments

Intel Security has renewed its strategy to focus on integrated and open security system in an effort to help customers combat cyber attacks.

The new corporate strategy is intended to bolster endpoint and cloud security systems by unifying the threat defense lifecycle, Intel said Tuesday.

“The rising volume and complexity of attacks present a vicious cycle of challenges for organizations and makes speed and efficiency critical,” said Chris Young, senior vice president and general manager of Intel’s security group.

Young stressed the importance of event visibility and streamlined management amid an “expanding attack surface and a shortage of relevant talent.”

Intel also launched new products such as the McAfee Endpoint Security 10.X and McAfee Active Response for endpoint threat detection.
