The U.S. Army wants information on potential vendors that can help build and demonstrate autonomous unmanned vehicle sensing platforms intended to operate in GPS-challenged locations.
The Army’s Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center is interested in acquiring architectures and services for the Autonomous Unmanned Systems Teaming and Collaboration in GPS Denied Environments project, the military branch said in a sources sought notice posted Tuesday on FedBizOpps.
The military service aims to build an AUSTC technology with three- and four-dimensional mapping, localization, tracking, visualization, real-time analysis, radio communication and target identification and engagement features.
The project will require subject matter expertise, hardware and software development, and operational and engineering support of a contractor for the integration of AUS and sensor systems.
The Army noted it needs the integrated platform for sensitive target site exploitation missions.
