The Garland public school district in Texas has selected Jacobs Engineering Group to oversee construction projects under the district’s $455 million bond program.
Jacobs will aid in the district’s security and life safety updates, window replacements, lighting installations, facility expansion and the construction of a new natatorium and career/technical education center, Jacobs said Tuesday.
Contract work will take place over five years.
“Jacobs is pleased to have been selected by Garland ISD to assist in defining capital needs for its students’ educational experience,†said Tom McDuffie, Jacobs group vice president.
Garland has 71 public schools at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
