General Services Administration head Denise Turner Roth has announced GSA’s move to solicit input from industry in an effort to help businesses gain more access to the federal procurement space.
Roth said Thursday the request for information aims to modify GSA’s IT Schedule 70 in order to attract increased participation from the private sector.
“And this is just the start: as part of my vision of GSA as an economic catalyst, we will be looking for other ways to ease the path to government business, especially for small businesses,†she added.
Roth said the agency wants to pinpoint the challenges businesses face with the Multiple Award Schedule program.
The RFI seeks to address the two-year corporate experience requirement, project experience and financial responsibility considerations of IT Schedule 70.
