BAE Systems has received a four-year extension of its air operations support to the Australian military under a $6.35 million contract for mission system support services.
The company said Tuesday it will perform the work under Australia’s Air Component – Command and Control Capability System program.
BAE added that it will deploy 10 employees to an Australian air base in New South Wales and a joint operations center in the Australian Capital Territory.
“The AC-C2CS supports the planning, preparation, execution and reporting of military air operations,” said Chris Keane, general manager of BAE’s Australian intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance business.
He added that the new contract has an option to add four more years of work.
