MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates has received a $25.7 million contract modification from the Canadian space agency to continue its support for the Mobile Servicing System aboard the International Space Station.
MDA said Tuesday the modification extends its support through the end of October 2017.
The Canada-built Mobile Servicing System is a robotics suite that consists the Canadarm2, Mobile Base System and Special Purpose Dextrous Manipulator and performs maintenance, resupply and other tasks in support of ISS operations.
MDA originally signed a $61.6 million contract to provide engineering, sustainment and operational support for the system in 2013.
The company received the first contract modification to extend support in December 2014 for $13.5 million.
