Leidos has given a donation to the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation in support of the 2015 Fall Cyber Lecture series of the Naval Academy’s Center for Cyber Security Studies.
The company said Aug. 4Â the lecture series will bring cybersecurity experts to discuss current issues in the field with U.S. Navy midshipmen, government employees and other event participants.
“We look forward to working with the Center for Cyber Security Studies to further advance their world-class education and efforts to address the evolving cybersecurity challenges facing our nation today,” said Charlie Kanewske, a program director at Leidos and 1980 academy graduate.
The lectures work to bolster the academy’s efforts to build up its cybersecurity education offering even as cyber defense and warfare become critical mission areas for the Navy and U.S. Marine Corps, Leidos noted.
