Dell’s federal business has inked distribution agreements with information technology firms Synnex and Ingram Micro to sell Dell’s portfolio of enterprise platforms to providers that offer IT services and products to the U.S. government, CRN reported Monday.
Michael Novinson writes the deals also cover the provision of sales, marketing and technical support services.
Frank Vitagliano, vice president of global partner strategy and programs at Dell, told CRN distribution partners will have an option to either source their acquired products via one of the distributors or through Dell.
Eddie Franklin, vice president of public sector and vertical market sales at Synnex, said his company plans to leverage Dell’s presence in the federal client computing market and Defense Department certifications for networking systems.
