Raytheon Co. has donated $100,000 in educational investments to Poland’s Military University of Technology and Warsaw University of Technology with the goal to further STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) studies.
Each university will receive half of the amount to finance scholarships and research programs in engineering, Raytheon said Thursday
Thomas Vecchiolla, president of Raytheon International Inc., said the investment marks the first step in the company’s support of Poland’s contributions to scientific studies.
Raytheon intends to team up with major universities in Poland to work on long-term education and scientific programs.
