Harris Corp. and information and communications technology provider CPqD have been selected to assist the Brazilian air force in monitoring Brazil’s airspace control system equipment.
Network operations personnel will use the two companies’ technologies to keep track of surveillance, navigation and communications systems, as well as detect issues across the South American country’s ATC network, Harris said Monday.
Under the two-year contract, Harris will perform technical services and operations services and CPqD will provide a management monitor and control product.
“We are committed to bringing new technologies and capabilities to Brazil as it continues to expand and upgrade its communications infrastructure,” said Reinaldo Rezende, president of Harris Brazil.
