Jill Bruning is an executive vice president at AECOM and general manager of the company’s Intelligence Community business unit, which was formed following the acquisition of URS in 2014.
She joined AECOM from URS and worked on the integrated IC unit’s transition phases, organizational strategy and business architecture.
She is also a member of AECOM’s corporate diversity and inclusion committee and delivery excellence advisory group.
Bruning has held leadership roles on the company boards of AGS Australia, URS Federal Projects, EG&G Defense Materials and Washington Demilitarization Company.
She previously served as vice president and general manager of the URS federal services business’ global security group, which delivered the SafeUp safety performance service.
Prior to URS, she worked at NJVC as chief operating officer and at CSC as a vice president for large classified projects.
Bruning holds two patents on energy systems, is a published author of papers on cryogenic technology and is a recipient of the Women in Technology leadership award for large businesses in 2011.
She earned a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
