WastewaterAn Emcor Group subsidiary has been awarded a contract of an undisclosed value to modernize and expand a wastewater treatment facility in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Poole & Kent Co. of Florida will upgrade the sewage plant’s 22 structures in multiple phases in order to minimize disruption to ongoing operations at the site, Emcor said Thursday.

The company will also construct stations for sludge storage and thickening, thermophilic and mesophilic anaerobic digestion, centrifuge dewatering, septage and odor control processes.

The contract was awarded by the city of West Palm Beach and also covers electrical, plumbing, instrumentation, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning installation and civil site services.
