General Dynamics has changed its Canadian subsidiary’s name to General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada in an effort to emphasize the unit’s technology and service offerings for the country’s military.
David Ibbetson, general manager of General Dynamics Mission Systems – Canada, said Tuesday the initiative reflects “our commitment to delivering these capabilities to the soldiers, sailors, airmen, cyber analysts, law enforcement and first responders here in Canada and around the world.”
The Ontario-based company aims to grow its portfolio of communication systems, vehicle electronics, displays, acoustic signal processors, anti-submarine warfare technologies and airborne mission systems.
The organization also seeks to build new technology to meet the Canadian government’s defense requirements.
