Northrop Launches Inertial Measurement Unit for Commercial Clients; Bob Mehltretter Comments

Northrop GrummanÂ has introduced a newÂ inertial measurement unit product for commercial customers.

The LN-200C IMU is designed for use in instrument stabilization, motion compensation and navigation in commercial, aerospace and industrial operations, Northrop said Tuesday.

Bob Mehltretter, vice president of navigation and positioning systems at Northrop, said the company built the product to give clients flexibilityÂ through performance options.

The commercial-off-the-shelf LN-200C will be exported under the Commerce Departmentâ€™s export administration regulations.
